The Truth about Vitamin B12

Did you know that well over half of the US population currently has levels of B12 that are low enough to interfere with their brain function?  Many people who take a multi-vitamin or even a B12 pill every day believe that they could not possibly be suffering from low levels.  In fact, this is not the case.  By far the vast majority of those who are experiencing b12 deficiency symptoms actually get enough of the vitamin through diet and supplementation, but their bodies are not able to metabolize it properly.  The inability to utilize B12 is what is known as a genetic mutation. The challenge with oral supplementation of B12 is that the vast majority of people who are unable to absorb vitamin B12 from food are also incapable of assimilating the B12 that they take in a supplement.
